Heya all!

As you my dear watchers may have noticed that I rarely am online here... I feel bad about that since this awesome community has given me so much. For once, it sparkled my interest of photography. I have had the pleasure of meeting the most awesome people all over the planet. I never thought joining an art community would give me back so much  really... The greatest thing that happened to me here was finding this person called Randy from Canada. On September 1st we have been in a relationship for a year. Yay! Long distance relationship truly sucks though and as for you youngsters, try to avoid it if possible! It's expensive most of all and it'll mess up your free time for good. But then again, the times you get to spend with your loved one are very unique and special that you want to make every second the best it just can be.

Anyway, with these words I'm just wanting to thank you all for being part of this my life changing art community. I'm sure you have changed other people's lifes too.

What it comes to me, unfortunately I will have even less time for this page. I'm moving to Toronto for a year in September (that is if I get the visa). I'm not sure if I'll have a computer there to use... I'll bring my camera of course but I don't think I'll focus on photography too much.

I hope you guys keep this community developing and being a better place. Remember to encourage the young artists you meet and help them their best. I've tried to do that and hopefully I managed to be some help. Maybe I just should stay here and discover new talents? Hmm, that doesn't sound like too bad of an idea. And then I might just upload pictures I take occasionally...

Dear watchers,

I'm very sorry to fill up your DeviantWATCH with my cat pics. But so you know, I'm done with uploading the old pics for now. I just chose to do them all right away since I might have forgotten to submit them later... I hope you like them.

Now I'm going to share with you which cat is which and etc.

In my family we have three cats. The oldest one is Mörkö who belongs to my sister. He has the most stunning yellow eyes. They are very big and people call him owl when they see him the first time. He just turned 13 last month. He has seen a lot in his life: he survived my and my sister's teasing, he has seen people to come and go, and he has always been the smart cat of the family. Lately he has become more and more playfull. I bet his stressing out things a lot more now too. His whiskers are turning white and also his beautiful black fur has white hairs here and there.

My cat is Onni. His whole name is Onni Monni Oskari Onnellinen. He purrs a lot and is smiling when he sleeps. He used to be all over me but after my year in Alaska he has become more independent. What a strange thing to say about a cat. Still he's extremely jealous of my boyfriend. He even attacked Randy one morning after I had gotten up! My brothers call Onni gay. Also his anorexic. He eats a lot but never gains weight. Right now he's 9 years old. His birthday is the 25th of October.

Our youngest cat is Vili . We got him for our mom on her 50th birthday. Now we remember how old she is thanks to Vili! He's also my favorite of our three cats. Whoever meets him absolutely falls in love with him. He's just such a cutie. He's very friendly and he can't really meow. He's also bigger than Mörkö and Onni are but still he's a chicken. He growls whenever someone rings the door bell. He's terrified of my niece Ilona. You might also remember the story of him and the mouse which proves that he's no hunter.


My grandma lives next door and she has two cats, Taavi and Roope (which I don't have a picture of here yet). Taavi is Mörkö's brother but they have a different father. He has the same birthday than my dad actually. Roope was found at some barn when he was a kitten. My brother heard about this found kitten and asked whether my grandma would like to get him. And of course she did. Taavi used to be so scared of him that he didn't go inside the house for months. Then little by little Taavi got used to Roope. Now they are best friends and play like kittens together.

My brothers don't live at home anymore. Both of them have a cat. My oldest brother Juho used to have two cats, Viuhti and Viiru. Viuhti had to be put to asleep because he got some mental problems. My brother broke up with his girlfriend with whom they had gotten the cats with. That resulted in Viuhti showing his frustration of the situation by peeing around the  ex-girlfriend's flat. After a year and a half she had had enough and told Juho she couldn't take any more of that. I think she made the right desicion because it was driving her mad, literally. She also gave Viiru away for my brother. I'm so happy she did that. And now Viiru is the best friend with my niece Ilona (look at this pic -> ace-of-finland.deviantart.com/… ).
Viiru's deaf (like Viuhti was too) but still she meows so incredibly loud when woken up or surprised. She used to love going out for walks on the leash but now she has grown into one princess. She gets cold very easily and loves sleeping in sauna. She has very, very long legs. I love her green eyes. They are so charming.

My other brother Aku just got a cat a few months ago. His and his girlfriend's new kid is E.T. They got him from my friend's aunt who couldn't afford keeping him anymore. Like Vili and Roope, he was also found abandonded. At first he was thought to be she and called Gina. That name means warrior and he was called that since he was about to die when found. But he survived and he has grown from a weak girl into a handsome guy.

Hey my dear watchers

I just thought to update you with the fact that from now on you might see more cat pictures by me... I love cats and I don't ever get sick of taking pics of them. I just hope you won't get sick of me and my cat pics so I will also try taking some other pics too. Most likely something little more artistic. Right now I'm working on one pic. I hope it's going to end up looking good. I will reveal that the tittle will be something like 'My Sweet Dreamland'... I might also submit it as a stock if everything works out good.. We'll see. Hopefully I get to take the pics tomorrow. I still need to figure out some things for it.

Well on a lighter note, I don't have any more exams. I might still go to school to take two chemistry courses. But no more exams! (unti fall that is...) I didn't get the strawberry seller job. Dammit. I really wanted it... Now I don't know what I will do. Maybe some of you would like to hire me? :] :] :] Please? No? aww :C

But yeah, I will be uploading my gallery more often now and just be more active here in general.

So like the title goes...

Right now I have a mouse in my room.
Our brilliant, brilliant hunter <a herf="ace-of-finland.deviantart.com/…>Vili brought a mouse to me the other night. I thought he had killed the mouse so I gave him no attention. I have used to cats bringing in mice and eating them inside; maybe they like showing off or maybe they are just cold/wet? But no, this certain mouse sure wasn't dead. In the next moment I saw Vili running after it around my room. Great job Vili... You sure don't have a clue what you are supposed to do with their prey - kill it. The mouse ended up hiding behing my big tv-stand/book shelf. He couldn't get to the mouse so he was looking at me with his big eyes: can you help me please? I had no option. I started taking some books off and then moved the shelf little by little. It was very heavy. Also I tried to be quiet since it was 2.30 am when this all happened. While I was doing this Vili was pushing me and walking around anxiously. Finally I managed to get it moved so that Vili could fit behind it. But now there was no mouse! Dammit. It had ran to my closet/storage room. Now there was no way I could get to it since it would have countless number of hiding places there. I gave up. Vili went downstairs to eat delicious processed cat food. And hopefully not too hurt mouse found safe in my room.
Last night I hear the mouse walking around my room. I got up and tried to see it. Of course I had to put the lights on and so it escaped back to his safe. Today I put grains on the floor and let my balcony door open. I hope the mouse is smart enough to follow them and go out to my balcony. There I could catch it and let it free. So for a few days my room shall be a no-cat-area.
I just hope my room won't end up being its grave. I don't really want to have a smelling mousecorpse in my room.

So that was the first story behind the journal subject... And now comes the school related - boring- note.
The following the weeks will be busy for me. I have two more exams to come. And I haven't started studying yet. I really need to study for these. So that means I won't have much time for photography or DA... Unfortunately. I have a feeling that I might occasionally end up taking some photos though. That's my way to relaxe and get my thoughts out school related stuff.

Oh, and my camera isn't broken!! woot! :woot: My brother fix it... The mirror was a little out of the place. Oh and I bought a new and handy tripod. It's way lighter than our current one so I can actually carry this one around. I might end up taking it with me to Canada too. Oooh, I'm going there in umm... six and half weeks! I wish the time was here already. Oh and I had a job interview today. Finns, you may see this girl selling strawberries for quite a while.

Okay, so that's all for now.

I'm done and ready for bed.

Well hello everyone...

I promised to be back here on DA with this picture. Well, I'm afraid you won't be seeing any new pics from me in a while... Let me explain this.

The other day I just found the manual for my camera. I was so excited! Now I could actually try to take some professional looking pictures. I asked a tripod from my brother for couple of days. I wanted to practice focusing, playing with the shutter speed and aperture and such things (you know what I'm talking about). Well, I got the tripod yesterday.

Today I then started practicing. It had been such a long time since I had actually focused on the composition, colors, lightning and such. I think I did some pretty good job. I went outside and tried to look for some nice shots which I couldn't find. So now I head back inside and leave the tripod in the middle of the lvingroom. I was planning on taking some cat pictures. The tripod was standing firmly on the floor and camera was on it. I leave to take my shoes and jacket off. CLONKS! The tripod had fallen with my camera on it. F**K!!!! Now the camera won't take any pictures. It doesn't even say 'click'. My precious camera is dead...

So yeah, I don't have my Canon EOS 300D anymore. Well, actually I can't be sure... I need to take it to the 'doctor' tomorrow and see what they can do. My brother says it's wishfull thinking. With the same prize it costs to fix it, I could buy an used camera. I said I won't think about not before I've heard the final decision of the camera doctor.

I just can't believe how it all happened. I should have been more careful I guess. The camera has been through many things though. Just last Thursday I had it with me while travelling around on a truck. I protected it perfectly there. But now, at home, in my living room, I couldn't pay a little more attention to what I was doing... Nope. Well, I have no one else to blame than me. Shit happens.

Now to the another point of my journal.

Even if I may not upload any new photography in a while (well, I might use our old camera sometimes...), I'll try to be more active here. But I must clear my message centre. I have 895 deviations to go through and 1 365 another messages. There's no way I have time or inspiration to go through all that. I want to start from 0 again.
